Anything Jason Corder (Offthesky) touches has a golden glow...so imagine what you get if he teams up with Craig Tattersall (the humble bee) and you have pure magic. Corder's brilliance with the spatial aspects of a composition come into play, in contrast to- or harmony with- Tattersall's smoky, mysterious musings. For example, Rin Howell's vocals are right here, up front- whilst the rest is on different, faraway planes....Magical to say the least......ss/am editions vaché
This should've gone out of print the month it was released. Most of the names here are still very active and at the time this line-up was extraordinarily significant for both this label, ambient/electronic/post-rock/isolationist music and the future labels represented by these artists. These tracks and artists are without a doubt still relevant in 2022. Don't continue to sleep on this just because its a decade+ old. Anthony Childs
Astonishing how electronics and field recordings can be crafted into sound so biological, airy, pensive. Washes, clicks and pulses for the ears and heart. ajpoet
